Playing times

The courts are available from 9:00am to 9:30pm all through the year. Club fixtures, coaching and tournament matches take priority over purely social tennis.

Booking courts

There is a book in the clubhouse for you to book a court in advance. Junior members may only book courts to play during Junior time. Club fixtures, coaching and tournament matches take priority over purely social tennis.

Keys

Keys to the courts and Clubhouse are provided at the time of joining, and remain the property of the Club. Lost keys can be replaced by the Membership Secretary subject to an appropriate charge. Junior members of the club may not have possession of a clubhouse or a court key. Student or Senior key holders who unlock the clubhouse must take responsibility for locking up. If someone has a problem with closing the door please let a committee member, living at either number 1, 3, 8 or 14 Lealands Avenue know immediately. It is imperative that the doors are not left open or unlocked.

Floodlights

Instructions are found on the wall by the unit in the clubhouse. Tokens may be purchased from Laurence Coleman and Lorna Belither The floodlights are operational up to 9:30pm.

Balls

Tennis balls may be purchased through the Club from Bob Bishop at a discount on normal shop prices. Match-played balls are sometimes available at about half price.

Visitors

Only Senior members may bring a visitor to play for a fee of £3.00 per hour. We rely on our members’ honesty. Please bring the money in an envelope with your name and guest’s name on it, and drop it through the letter box of 1, 3, 8 or 14 Lealands Avenue. Visiting players are limited to six visits in a year.
