Lorna holds LTA level 3 (DCA) Tennis Licence, first aid qualifications and full LTA CRB check. Lorna has worked as a coach at Leigh for the past 5 years developing both adult and junior coaching programmes. She has also worked at West Heath Performance Centre in Sevenoaks, Ightham Tennis Club as club coach and Otford Mini Tennis Club, as well as delivering tennis in both Leigh Primary and Ightham Primary Schools. She specialises in Mini Tennis with children of all ages and ability. Lorna is currently responsible for organising and co-ordinating the tennis programme at the club, running junior tournaments and organising junior teams.

Adam has been working at Leigh Tennis Club since April 2005. As a former Kent county player himself, Adam has been successfully running his own coaching business since July 2001. With a LTA DCA qualification and a position at West Heath Performance Centre (one of the top in the region) Adam carefully manages his time between West Heath and its close relationship with Leigh Tennis Club.

Coaching sessions for Juniors and Seniors

Juniors

Junior numbers have steadily increased over the years as the coaching program goes from strength to strength and we now have over 100 Junior members. We are committed to developing Junior tennis through a structured coaching programme. Which takes children from 4 years to 18 years.

• Mini Reds: 5-7 years
• Mini Orange: 7-9 years
• Mini Green: 9-11 years
• Teens: 11-18 years

Wednesday (with Adam)

• Mini Reds 16:00-17:00
• Mini Orange 17:00-18:00
• Mini Green/development Hardball 18:00-19:00
• Teen tennis 19:00–20:00

Saturday (with Zsolt)

• Mini Reds 09:00-10:00
• Mini Orange 10:00-11:00
• Mini Green/development Hardball 11:00-12:00

Leigh Tennis Club is a “feeder club” for West Heath etc (more to come)

Seniors

We have over 100 adult members, the majority of whom continue to show great signs of improvement, thanks to coaching sessions, friendly matches, tournaments and medical intervention!
